NOAH VAN SCIVER is a Denver independent cartoonist/comic strip artist and illustrator. He is best known for his comic book, Blammo, which was nominated for an Ignatz award, and the weekly comic strip 4 Questions appearing in Denver’s Westword.  His work has appeared in The Best American Comics, MAD Magazine, The Comics Journal, MOME and many other anthologies.

He just finished his first graphic novel, The Hypo, which is published by Fantagraphics Books. In this little-explored part of Abraham Lincoln’s past, Van Sciver’s detailed pen-and-ink drawings provide a captivating and intriguing portrait of a depressed man who will eventually be one of our greatest leaders. He also has recent work in the classic and timeless MAD Magazine, issues 512, 514, 516 and 518.
