Action Lab Entertainment

Project 81 of 110

At Free Comic Book Day (May 4, 2013) make sure to hit your local comic shop and pick up a copy of Action Labs’ NFL Rush Zone comic AND the flip comic of Princeless and the hot new series from Jamal Igle – Molly Danger! (Jamal is another one of our Special Comics Guests this year.)

Continuing to support the Denver Comic Con’s mission to promote boutique and indie publishing companies, Action Lab Entertainment will also be among the featured guests this year. The small-print publishing company will be hosting a number of exciting guest appearances including featured artists Jeremy Whitley, Kevin Freeman and Jamal Igle. Also in support of their forthcoming release NFL Rush Zone, the exhibitor booth will have autograph signings with a number of NFL superstars throughout the weekend. Written by Action Lab president Kevin Freeman, his magnum opus is the twice-weekly webcomic SubCulture, which will be reprinted in its entirety in an omnibus edition and will be available exclusively at Denver Comic Con 2013.

A big hit in the DCC Kids Corral last year, Jeremy Whitely will be returning to the DCC this year, in the Comic Book Classroom Corral, signing and sketching with the graduates of the CBC program!  Whitley’s kids’ comic Princeless was a 2012 Eisner Award Nominee and a 2012 Glyph Comics Award winner. Jamal Igle is one of the most popular and prolific pencillers in the comic book industry and is an award-winning artist and writer. Best known for his run on Supergirl with writer Sterling Gates, Igle has been a professional jack-of-all-trades for nearly 20 years, drawing every title from Action Comics to Zatanna for DC Comics.
